Friendship for peace-A People to People Program

Positive thoughts create a vision for efforts which eventually lead to good results. With this intention in mind , I have developed this program to spread the message of goodwill, Peace and Friendship.

This is "Friendship for Peace" - A people to people program.

Terrorism is posing the biggest challenge for world peace. Human life has become very insecure due to this. Vested interests on the other hand wage wars, in the name of fighting terrorism, for their personal gain. Due to this human life has lost its value. Innocent people are killed in thousands very often. A very dreadful situation will manifest, if weapons capable of unleashing great destruction, come into the possession of terrorists. This is a very shuddering thought indeed.

What is the situation prevailing in our country? Terrorism is on the rise in our nation too. To add fuel to fire we see that people are divided by religion, caste, sect, and language. This has been exploited by vested interests for political gain.

Illiteracy, poverty, and corruption are eating on the fabric of the nation. This has been largely aided by selfish motives of political entities. Good values for the development of mankind are on the decline.

India today is seeing its great culture getting degenerated. People are in a helpless situation against all odds. Where are we headed to? Corrupt politicians, obscene cinema, and moral degeneration are leading us into a black hole.

We are left with no one to guide us on the tenets of good living. People too, have lost interests in high ethical, moral values. Today’s society finds its people leading a life with little or no heed to moral values.

How can we even dare to think of progress in such a situation? Is the "progress" touted by today's national leaders a real one? It is scary to think and extrapolate about the life and times of coming generations.

There is no positive motivational leadership to guide our youth. It is ironical that in the past, ours was the nation that spread peace and high ideals to the world. The situation is different now. Our people, especially the youth should ponder over this. These are all not pessimistic thinking, but realistic.

If we are to become a developed nation, then we need to bring about a tremendous change in the way we think and act.

The responsibility of this great change rests in the hands of our younger generation. The creative energies of our youth should not be wasted .This should be utilized for the betterment of our nation and for mankind.

I have developed a program to promote world peace. This program is titled "Friendship for World Peace".

This program aims to promote friendship for peace, among people the world over. This program would attempt to work for the progress of mankind.

This sacred work should commence from this great country which is the birthplace of such fine personalities like The Buddha and The Mahatma.

People with such good intentions, especially the youth should join hands in this program.

Together, we will strive for a new world order, of peace and progress for the development of mankind, without any discrimination of caste, creed, language or religion.

Participating individuals will work for implementing this program in their respective countries.

In our nation, we will work for unity, national integration and development of our nation. We will create a strong public opinion for world peace for the development of the human race.

The benefits of this program are plenty. This program will lead to economic and industrial development. It will also pave the way for cultural exchange and promote tourism. The peaceful atmosphere will create goodwill, co-operation and co-existence between nations. A recent development in science shows that friendship is an important of ingredient for good health.

Come, let us discuss about how to make this program a success. Let us create a new world order of peace and progress.
